Monday, April 28, Uber and Lyft drivers from across Oregon will converge on the State Capitol for a hearing in the Senate Rules Committee for Senate Bill 1166. Sponsored by State Senate Majority Leader Kayse Jama, SB 1166 would implement fair pay standards, earned sick leave, and other protections for rideshare drivers statewide. Leaving from Portland in the north and Eugene to the south, drivers will caravan to the state legislature in Salem for a rally.
Press is invited to all locations and drivers will be available to speak on the landmark protections for drivers in SB 1166:
