Attend PBOT's Robotaxi Meeting for Drivers
MEETING: TUES MAR 10, 12PM, Sokhom Tauch Community Center
Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is planning to update rules around automated vehicles, and has invited private for-hire drivers to a "listening session" to give them feedback on the proposed rules. PBOT's proposal would, among other things:
- Allow PBOT to issue permits for robotaxi operations in Portland (with nothing to address the impact on our jobs)
- Remove existing requirements for a driver to be present in vehicles during testing and operation
